Jane Phipps 1826 - about 1895
Jane was born in Tipton, Staffordshire in 1826 or possibly in Middlesex, according to census records to Charles Phipps and Jane (Chesterton) Phipps.
She marries Samuel Bright on 4 July 1847 in Oldbury.
They had several children:
Harriet, born in 1848 in Tipton; Samuel, born in 1849 in Tipton; Emily, born in 1851 and dies as an infant the same year; James, born abt 1852 at Ocher Hill Tipton; Mary Ann was born in 1855 in Tipton; William, born abt 1856 and Walter born abt 1860 but then he dies as an infant in 1861. His death was registered at Dudley.
When Samuel dies in 1873, Jane marries George Smith in 1874, but by 1879, George has died.
The 1881 census records that Jane has become a widow for the second time and is living with her youngest son, William in Albion Street, Rowley Regis. William is a Striker for a Blacksmith.
Jane lives with her youngest Son, William in Kings Norton, and her eldest son, Samuel, a coal miner is recorded living with them in the 1891 census.
Her death is recorded in 1895.
