Ham Crumpton was born in 1796 in Madeley, Shropshire. He married Elizabeth Jones on 28 November 1808 in Madeley and they had two children together. He also had four sons and three daughters with Mary A.
In the 1841 census he is recorded as an Iron Stone miner.
The 1851 census he is recorded as a coal miner.

In the 1841 census Ham is recorded as an Iron Stone miner.
